Dibba Al-Hisn Sports and Cultural Club held an expanded meeting, chaired by His Excellency Dr. Mohammed Ahmed Al-Mutawa, Chairman of the Board of Directors, and attended by His Excellency Mohammed Abdullah Rashid Al-Tarban Al-Hamoudi, Chairman of the Football Club, as part of preparations for the club’s third annual festival, scheduled for January 24 and 25, 2026, under the patronage of the Sharjah Sports Council.

Enhancing Sports and Cultural Activity

This meeting reflects the club’s commitment to early preparation and comprehensive organization of the festival, demonstrating its vision of providing high-quality sports and community events that contribute to enhancing sports and cultural activity in Dibba Al-Hisn and solidify the club’s role as an active community institution serving various segments of society.

Discussions on Joint Cooperation and Coordination Mechanisms

The meeting witnessed broad participation from representatives of government departments in Dibba Al-Hisn, along with members of the festival’s organizing committee. This underscored the importance of institutional integration and unified efforts among various entities to ensure the success of the event, which has become a prominent annual fixture reflecting the stature of Dibba Al-Hisn Club and its vital role in supporting sports and community initiatives.

Several strategic partners also participated in the meeting, including representatives from the Department of Culture, Dibba Al-Hisn Police, Dibba Al-Hisn Municipality, the Department of Social Services, and the Department of Economic Development. Discussions focused on areas of joint cooperation and coordination mechanisms related to organizational, security, and service aspects, as well as the cultural and community programs accompanying the festival’s activities.

General Plan and Proposed Events Program

The attendees discussed the festival’s general plan and the proposed program of sports, cultural, and community events. They also addressed the distribution of roles and responsibilities among participating entities to ensure the event’s success and its alignment with the Sharjah Sports Council’s directives to support impactful sports initiatives and enhance the quality of community-focused events.

A Comprehensive Platform for Promoting a Culture of Sports
Club officials emphasized that the Dibba Al-Hisn Sports and Cultural Festival serves as a comprehensive platform for promoting a culture of sports participation, discovering talent, and fostering values ​​of community cohesion and cooperation. They noted that the continued success of previous editions motivated the development of the third edition in terms of diversity, organization, and content.

A Series of Coordination Meetings
This meeting is part of a series of coordination meetings held by Dibba Al-Hisn Club as part of its ongoing efforts to solidify the concept of community partnership, promote sports as a way of life, and strengthen the club’s role as a key driver of sports, cultural, and social activities in Dibba Al-Hisn.

As part of the Sharjah Sports Council’s commitment to supporting clubs and enhancing their efficiency in various technical and administrative aspects, the Council’s Sports Development Committee conducted a field visit to Dibba Al-Hisn Sports and Cultural Club. This visit was part of the Committee’s plans to monitor the clubs’ conditions and review their operations, contributing to the development of the sports performance system in the Emirate of Sharjah.

The Committee was received by His Excellency Dr. Mohammed Ahmed Al-Mutawa, Chairman of Dibba Al-Hisn Club, Mr. Abdullah Saeed Al-Watari, Chairman of the Individual Games Committee, along with several sports team supervisors and committee secretaries.

The meeting began with a welcoming address from the club’s management, during which Dr. Al-Mutawa expressed his appreciation for the visit, which reflects the Sharjah Sports Council’s interest in strengthening communication with clubs and supporting their development efforts. He emphasized that the club continuously strives to improve the efficiency of its sports teams and provide a stimulating environment that fulfills the Council’s aspirations for building a comprehensive sports system.

During the visit, the Development Committee reviewed its plans and observations regarding the club’s sporting performance. It discussed with the administration ways to develop sports teams across all age groups, identified challenges facing both team and individual sports, and worked to propose appropriate solutions in coordination with the relevant departments within the Council. The committee also addressed mechanisms for organizing development and training programs for players, technical staff, and administrators, aiming to enhance efficiency and boost competitiveness in local and international championships.

Committee members emphasized that these visits are part of the Council’s policy to unify efforts and integrate roles between the Council and clubs, with the goal of achieving sustainable sports development, supporting national talent, and strengthening the role of clubs as incubators for sporting excellence.

At the conclusion of the visit, the Development Committee expressed its appreciation for the efforts of Dibba Al-Hisn Club’s administration in developing the overall performance of various sports and its commitment to creating a comprehensive sporting environment that fosters a sense of belonging and fair competition. The committee affirmed that the Council will continue its support and ongoing monitoring to achieve further successes and accomplishments in Sharjah’s sports sector.

Dibba Al Hisn Sports Club organized a unique lecture titled “Make Your Presence Stronger… Simple Steps for Greater Influence for Athletes,” delivered by His Excellency Dr. Mohammed Ahmed Al Mutawa, Chairman of the Club’s Board of Directors. This lecture reflects the club’s commitment to developing its human resources and fostering a positive work environment based on effective communication.

The lecture focused on several topics, most notably: how to build an influential presence that leaves an impact on others; ways to make dialogue more engaging; developing persuasion and influence skills, especially for athletes; and the importance of good listening as a gateway to understanding others and gaining their trust.

Attendees engaged with the ideas and practical examples presented by Dr. Al Mutawa, emphasizing their practical value in improving communication methods within the workplace.

Dr. Al Mutawa began the meeting by honoring a select group of club employees in appreciation of their contributions and efforts. The event was attended by His Excellency Mohammed Abdullah Rashid Al Tarban, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Dibba Al Hisn Football Club; Mr. Ali Mohammed Yarouf Al Naqbi, Secretary General; Mr. Saeed Mohammed Al Amel Al Yahyai, ​​Chairman of the Group Games Committee; and Mr. Mohammed Khalifa Al Nuaimi, Executive Director.

The participants emphasized that this initiative represents a qualitative addition to the club’s efforts to hone the skills of its employees and instill a culture of creativity and positivity in teamwork.

Dibba Al Hisn, Al Arabi, and Hatta booked their places in the quarterfinals of the preliminary rounds for the 2025-2026 UAE President’s Cup, after successfully overcoming their opponents in the first round.
Dibba Al Hisn defeated Al Jazira Al Hamra 2-0, while Al Arabi overcame Fujairah 4-2. Hatta needed penalties to defeat City 4-1 after a goalless draw at Hamdan bin Rashid Stadium.
The first round matches continue today with four matches: Al Orouba vs. Emirates, Masfout vs. Majd, Al Dhaid vs. Gulf United, and United vs. Al Ettifaq. Meanwhile, Al Hamriyah has already secured direct qualification to the quarterfinals.
The playoffs are held in a single-match knockout format, with eight teams advancing to the quarterfinals and then the semifinals. Only two teams will secure a place in the round of 16, joining the 14 Pro League clubs in the most prestigious tournament.
