Dibba Al-Hisn Sports and Cultural Club held an expanded meeting, chaired by His Excellency Dr. Mohammed Ahmed Al-Mutawa, Chairman of the Board of Directors, and attended by His Excellency Mohammed Abdullah Rashid Al-Tarban Al-Hamoudi, Chairman of the Football Club, as part of preparations for the club’s third annual festival, scheduled for January 24 and 25, 2026, under the patronage of the Sharjah Sports Council.

The medical unit at Dibba Al-Hisn Sports and Cultural Club held a comprehensive meeting, chaired by Dr. Mohammed Ahmed Al-Mutawa, Chairman of the Board of Directors, and attended by Mohammed Khalifa Al-Nuaimi, Executive Director, and the medical staff. The meeting reviewed and discussed 4,667 cases treated by the medical team from January 1, 2025, to December 8, 2025, as part of a comprehensive monitoring of approved healthcare mechanisms and ensuring the provision of the best medical services to beneficiaries.

The meeting included a detailed presentation on the number of cases treated, the types of services provided, and the approved medical follow-up mechanisms, reflecting the efficiency of the club’s healthcare system and its commitment to rapid response and providing appropriate care according to the highest professional standards.

The attendees also discussed the free treatment sessions dedicated to senior citizens, emphasizing their continued provision regularly and with high quality. This initiative stems from Dibba Al-Hisn Club’s social responsibility and its commitment to promoting a healthy quality of life and supporting various segments of society.

On the sports front, Dr. Al-Mutawa discussed with the medical staff the injuries of the club’s players and the approved treatment and rehabilitation plans for each case, in addition to emphasizing the importance of adhering to health and safety procedures and preventing injuries inside and outside the stadiums, in order to ensure the safety of the players and the sustainability of their performance, and to enhance the physical readiness of the various sports teams in the club.

In a move reflecting the club’s ambitions to strengthen its position in competitions, Dibba Al-Hisn Football Club officially announced the signing of Portuguese coach Bruno Pereira to lead the first team’s technical staff. The announcement was made in the presence of His Excellency Mohammed Abdullah Rashid Al-Tarban Al-Hamoudi, Chairman of the Board of Directors.

The signing of Pereira comes as a replacement for former coach Tariq Abdul-Halim, as part of the club’s plan to inject new blood into the team and enrich its technical staff with experienced coaches capable of further developing the team’s performance and raising its standards in the coming period.

The Portuguese coach boasts an impressive coaching record in the Arabian Gulf region, having led a number of well-known clubs in the UAE, Oman, Saudi Arabia, and Bahrain, including Al-Oruba and Dibba (UAE), Al-Nahda (Oman), Al-Majzel (Saudi Arabia), Al-Seeb (Oman), Al-Nasr (Oman), and Al-Khalidiyah (Bahrain). In a move to strengthen cooperation between sports clubs and federations, Dibba Al-Hisn Sports and Cultural Club welcomed His Excellency Saud Ibrahim Saleh, President of the UAE Handball Federation, along with Mohammed Hassan Al-Suwaidi, Vice President of the Federation, Mohammed Al-Hammadi, Assistant Secretary General, and Rahma Ghaleb, Head of the Legal Committee, during an official visit to the club.

As part of the Sharjah Sports Council’s commitment to supporting clubs and enhancing their efficiency in various technical and administrative aspects, the Council’s Sports Development Committee conducted a field visit to Dibba Al-Hisn Sports and Cultural Club. This visit was part of the Committee’s plans to monitor the clubs’ conditions and review their operations, contributing to the development of the sports performance system in the Emirate of Sharjah.

The Committee was received by His Excellency Dr. Mohammed Ahmed Al-Mutawa, Chairman of Dibba Al-Hisn Club, Mr. Abdullah Saeed Al-Watari, Chairman of the Individual Games Committee, along with several sports team supervisors and committee secretaries.

The meeting began with a welcoming address from the club’s management, during which Dr. Al-Mutawa expressed his appreciation for the visit, which reflects the Sharjah Sports Council’s interest in strengthening communication with clubs and supporting their development efforts. Dibba Al Hisn Club player Saeed Mohammed Tamrouq won first place and the gold medal in the men’s under-21 category for the 70-meter Olympic archery competition. This came during the first stage of the UAE Archery League for the 2025-2026 season. The competition took place over two days in Sharjah, with wide participation from various clubs and sports bodies across the country.

Saeed Tamrouq demonstrated an outstanding performance characterized by focus and high accuracy, which qualified him to ascend the podium after a fierce competition with some of the most prominent archery players in the country. This victory reaffirms his superiority in this sport, which is witnessing continuous development in the UAE.

Abdullah Al Watari, Chairman of the Individual Games Committee, noted that this achievement was the result of continuous efforts in daily training and the great support provided to its players by the Board of Directors of the Dibba Al Hisn Sports and Cultural Club. He noted that Saeed possesses exceptional talent and a determination to develop, which bodes well for his future in local and international archery championships.

Dibba Al-Hisn advances to the quarter-finals of the President’s Cup preliminary qualifiers

Dibba Al Hisn, Al Arabi, and Hatta booked their places in the quarterfinals of the preliminary rounds for the 2025-2026 UAE President’s Cup, after successfully overcoming their opponents in the first round.
Dibba Al Hisn defeated Al Jazira Al Hamra 2-0, while Al Arabi overcame Fujairah 4-2. Hatta needed penalties to defeat City 4-1 after a goalless draw at Hamdan bin Rashid Stadium.

The Dibba Al-Hisn first football team returned to the UAE on Saturday evening, coming from the Egyptian capital, Cairo, after concluding its successful 20-day training camp abroad, as part of preparations for the new football season.

The training camp was held in an ideal atmosphere characterized by commitment, discipline, and a high team spirit. The technical staff, led by the coach and his assistants, implemented an intensive preparation program that included daily physical and tactical training, in addition to four intense friendly matches, with the aim of raising fitness levels and enhancing harmony among the players.

The team achieved outstanding results in its friendly matches, opening its matches with a resounding 4-1 victory over the Egyptian Shams team, followed by a repeat of the same result in the second match against the Egyptian Al-Etisalat team.
