In a move to strengthen cooperation between sports clubs and federations, Dibba Al-Hisn Sports and Cultural Club welcomed His Excellency Saud Ibrahim Saleh, President of the UAE Handball Federation, along with Mohammed Hassan Al-Suwaidi, Vice President of the Federation, Mohammed Al-Hammadi, Assistant Secretary General, and Rahma Ghaleb, Head of the Legal Committee, during an official visit to the club.

They were received by His Excellency Dr. Mohammed Ahmed Al-Mutawa, President of Dibba Al-Hisn Sports and Cultural Club, and His Excellency Mohammed Abdullah Al-Tarban, President of Dibba Al-Hisn Football Club, in addition to several members of the club’s board of directors.

During the visit, discussions focused on ways to develop handball at the club and support promising programs and talents, in line with the Federation’s plans to expand the sport’s reach and enhance its presence across all age groups.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides expressed their commitment to continued cooperation to serve the advancement of Emirati sports and strengthen Dibba Al-Hisn Club’s position as one of the most active clubs in various team and individual sports.

Dibba Al Hisn Club player Saeed Mohammed Tamrouq won first place and the gold medal in the men’s under-21 category for the 70-meter Olympic archery competition. This came during the first stage of the UAE Archery League for the 2025-2026 season. The competition took place over two days in Sharjah, with wide participation from various clubs and sports bodies across the country.

Saeed Tamrouq demonstrated an outstanding performance characterized by focus and high accuracy, which qualified him to ascend the podium after a fierce competition with some of the most prominent archery players in the country. This victory reaffirms his superiority in this sport, which is witnessing continuous development in the UAE.

This award is part of a series of successes achieved by the Dibba Al Hisn Sports and Cultural Club in various individual and team sports, confirming its commitment to developing young talent and preparing them to compete in local and international tournaments.

Abdullah Al Watari, Chairman of the Individual Games Committee, noted that this achievement was the result of continuous efforts in daily training and the great support provided to its players by the Board of Directors of the Dibba Al Hisn Sports and Cultural Club. He noted that Saeed possesses exceptional talent and a determination to develop, which bodes well for his future in local and international archery championships.

For his part, Tamrouq expressed his happiness with this victory, stressing that the gold medal is a strong motivation for him to achieve further accomplishments. He thanked the club’s management, his coach, and his teammates for their continuous support.

Captain Issam Nashat, Tamrouq’s coach, indicated that this achievement was not a coincidence, but rather the result of a well-thought-out training plan that began at the beginning of the season. This plan focused on developing the player’s physical, psychological, and technical aspects through intensive training and a careful analysis of his performance at every stage.

Dibba Al Hisn Sports Club has launched early preparations for the new 2025-2026 sports season. The youth handball team began its first training session at the club’s gymnasium. This marked the first official appearance of this newly formed team this season. This strategic move by the club’s board of directors aims to expand the game’s base and develop emerging talent to ensure sustained excellence across all age groups.

This intensive sporting activity reflects the vision of the Dibba Al Hisn Club Board of Directors to support various team and individual sports and to provide an ideal environment for qualifying athletes and honing their skills. The first training session was marked by an enthusiastic atmosphere and interaction from the players, with the attendance of the administrative staff and the supervision of the technical staff. His Excellency Major General Dr. Mohammed Al Murr, President of the UAE Athletics Federation, paid a friendly visit to the Dibba Al Hisn Sports and Cultural Club. This visit reflects the UAE Athletics Federation’s commitment to expanding cooperation with sports clubs and strengthening institutional partnerships. During the visit, he met with several club leaders and discussed prospects for developing athletics regionally and nationally.

Dr. Al Murr was received yesterday evening upon his arrival at the club’s headquarters by His Excellency Dr. Mohammed Ahmed Al Mutawa, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Dibba Al Hisn Sports and Cultural Club, and Mr. Ali Mohammed bin Yarouf Al Naqbi, Secretary General, along with several members of the club’s administrative and technical staff.

This visit comes within the framework of the UAE Athletics Federation’s approach to field communication with clubs, closely examining the challenges and opportunities available, and exploring means of support and development in line with the country’s vision of building athletic generations capable of competing globally and achieving success.
