Dibba Al-Hisn Sports and Cultural Club inaugurated the 17th edition of its “Memorize and Recite” Quran Competition this evening, under the generous patronage of the Sharjah Charity Association and in cooperation with the Department of Islamic Affairs in Dibba Al-Hisn. The event was attended by a large number of parents and Quran enthusiasts, as well as a wide range of Quran memorizers of various ages.

The “Memorize and Recite” Competition is one of the club’s most prominent annual Quranic initiatives, underscoring its cultural and social role in supporting Quran memorizers and promoting the values of the Holy Quran within the community.

The opening ceremony took place in a spiritually uplifting atmosphere. The competition aims to strengthen the connection of children and youth with the Holy Quran, encouraging them to memorize it accurately and recite it correctly according to the rules of Tajweed. The competition includes several categories: memorizing the entire Quran, memorizing specific parts, and a recitation category, all overseen by a specialized judging panel of scholars and experts.

The organizers emphasized that holding the competition for the seventeenth consecutive year reflects the great interest in serving the Book of God, discovering Quranic talents, and instilling Islamic values in the hearts of future generations, thus contributing to building a cohesive society whose principles are derived from the Holy Quran.

This year’s edition witnessed a remarkable turnout of participants, with expectations of strong competition and high levels of performance. The competition will conclude with an awards ceremony honoring the winners and distributing prizes to the top performers in the various categories.
