As part of its commitment to qualifying staff and players and enhancing the readiness of medical teams, the Dibba Al Hisn Sports and Cultural Club organized a specialized training course titled “Medical Emergency Responder.” The course ran for three consecutive days and concluded on Sunday evening at the club’s headquarters. The course featured staff from the club’s medical unit, along with a number of supervisors and administrators.
The course aimed to provide participants with the practical knowledge and skills to handle emergency situations within stadiums and gyms, with the goal of enhancing player safety. It included intensive topics in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) for adults and children, rapid identification of critical cases, and dealing with acute sports injuries such as fractures, sprains, and joint dislocations. It also covered bleeding control, head, chest, and spine injuries, safe transportation protocols, and rapid communication and response protocols.
The course concluded in the presence of His Excellency Dr. Mohammed Ahmed Al Mutawa, Chairman of the Club’s Board of Directors, who praised the efforts of the medical unit and the team involved in organizing this unique initiative. He emphasized that such programs align with the club’s vision of instilling a culture of safety and prevention and enhancing the sporting environment to ensure a safer environment for players in various sports.
The stakeholders noted that the course reflects the club’s commitment to operating in accordance with the latest approved medical standards and guidelines, enhancing the team’s ability to respond immediately to emergency situations. At the same time, it underscores that investing in continuous training is a fundamental pillar of sporting success.
