The Dibba Al-Hisn Sports and Cultural Club concluded the first PlayStation electronic gaming tournament in the social hall the day before yesterday. Organized by the club’s management, the tournament featured a challenging and competitive atmosphere. The tournament saw widespread participation, with 32 players from various age groups coming together to compete in the popular FIFA game, giving the event a simultaneously entertaining and professional feel.
This tournament is part of a series of events held by the club with the aim of attracting young people and fostering a spirit of competitive sports among them. It also promotes the culture of electronic gaming, a mental sport that requires skill, planning, and sports tactics.
Since the tournament’s launch, the matches have witnessed intense competition between participants, who demonstrated exceptional skills in control and strategy within the game. The competition progressed through knockout rounds, reaching the final rounds, which brought together the most prominent players who demonstrated a high level of professionalism and the ability to handle the challenges within the game.
At the conclusion of the competition, Ahmed Murad Al Amiri, Chairman of the Football Academy and Football School Committee at the club, crowned the winners. The results were as follows: Abdulaziz Mohammed Al Mutawa won first place, Sultan Saeed Al Riyami came in second, Ahmed Sulaiman Zaid Al Dhahouri took third, and Kinan Ahmed took fourth.
For his part, Ahmed Murad Al Amiri expressed his happiness with the success of the tournament and the outstanding performance of the participants. He praised the large turnout and interaction, which reflected the popularity of electronic games among young people. He emphasized that this event is part of the club’s future plans to organize more similar tournaments, with the aim of enhancing the competitive and recreational aspects of players and developing their skills in this field.
